It is with deep sadness that the family of Kuo-Hsuing (Gary) Lee (李國雄先生) announces his passing on Thursday April 2, 2026 at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga. Kuo-Hsuing was born on March 23, 1950 in Taipei, Taiwan to Chuang Lee and Yu Lien Ho. A caring husband and father, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Sherry (mother of his children) and is survived by his wife Han-Qin, his daughters Ruth (Andrew) and Iris (Matthew). A loving brother to Nancy (Kuei-Hsing), David (Sarah), and James (Helen). He will be forever remembered by his cherished grandchildren Jordyn, Connor, and Madison along with his many nieces and nephews.
Growing up in Taiwan, Kuo-Hsuing learned to work hard and to live life to the fullest. He loved to dance, sing, and play music. He completed his military service in Taiwan prior to moving to Canada in 1977 with Sherry. Together, they started their own family, establishing a beautiful home and life for their daughters in Mississauga. He maintained multiple jobs yet continued to serve at church consistently by singing in the choir and leading bible studies. He was always there to offer a helping hand and put the needs of others above his own. His life was a true example of dedication, loyalty, hard work, and sacrifice. After retirement, Kuo-Hsuing enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and keeping up with Taiwan’s current events.
Kuo-Hsuing will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, playful nature, devotion to family, and his steadfast faith. As his health began to decline in 2015, he showed determination, perseverance, and courage in overcoming the many health challenges until the very end. He was a blessing to many people, and will be lovingly remembered. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in memory of Kuo-Hsuing Lee to Trillium Health Partners Foundation - Cancer Care Program, in appreciation of the exceptional care and compassion shown by the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff who took great care of Kuo-Hsuing up until his final days. The donation button can be found at the bottom of the page as well as the top right corner.
