“Life is worth living as long as there’s a laugh in it” L. M. Montgomery.

Koh See, who entered eternal life on Wednesday, 3:40 PM, October 1st 2014, truly believed in this philosophy. His spirit will be carried on by us, three children and six siblings, and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life, too numerous to list but not forgotten. A father who was so full of joy, love, and laughter, we were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from him during his 67 years, among them: when in doubt, laugh and smile.

Also: He adored his shirts with two pockets.

Loved the daily paper especially the metro for the gossips.

Loved his fishing rod. One of his fondest memories was his trip to Miami with us.

He always showed gratitude and respect by never forgetting his sincere “thank you”.

Loved humor and during his last days at PMH had a wrist band with four stars and called it his “four star hotel”.

We all know he really took care of his looks even till his last days at the hospital.

He made sure everyone had enough to eat at all times and never let others pick the bill up.

Brian Milner from the Globe and Mail quoted dad putting “much loving care as if they were tomatoes in Yellowknife” into his work and clients. Dad experienced his fame in the book the national bestseller, The Hidden Establishment, The Inside Story of Canada’s International Business Elite.

His lifelong dream was to open up a Karate school to share his skills and experience gained through the Singapore military.

He knew his geography really well. And at one point managed 400 agents under K.See realty.

Above all, dad really enjoyed his humor and spending time with us. He made sure his life lessons were to be remembered so in his final days wrote us a list titled, “How to live your life”.

You may be able to take dad out of Miami but you can never take Miami out of dad. His last words were, “I love you all very much, see you in Miami.” Dad, we will meet you at the pier in Miami.
