It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kim Cheng Lao, who died peacefully on November 24, 2025, at the age of 101, in Brampton, Ontario.

Kim Cheng was born on February 10, 1924, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She lived a rich and full life, marked by resilience, hardship, love, and devotion to her family. On September 12, 1987, she embarked on a courageous new chapter, immigrating to Canada with her family where she established a new home and adapted quickly to Canadian culture.

A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she leaves behind a profound legacy of strength and enduring affection.

Kim Cheng is lovingly remembered and survived by:

Her devoted son, Seng, and his wife, Tieng.

Her cherished grandchildren, Hank (and his wife, Elizabeth) and Jenny (and her husband, Steve).

Her five adoring great-grandchildren: Amelie, Jaren, Benjamin, Brandon, and Cali.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
