It is with profound sadness that we say farewell to Katherine who passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Leisureworld Altamont Long Term Care Facility, West Hill at the age of 97 after a long struggle with alzheimers disease. Katherine is predeceased by her beloved husband James. Loving mother of Ronald (Marlene). Cherished grandma to Matthew (Jen) and Bradley (Laura). Great-grandmother to Camryn, Lia, Alise, Alyssa, Isabella, Max, Adriana and Mila. Dear sister to Stella and sister-in-law Shirley. Dear aunt to Janie, Robbie, John and Susan. Predeceased by father Peter, mother Maria, brother Michael, sister Helen, niece Linda and nephew Grant. Katherine loved to dance, sew, knit and was an avid gardener. Her cooking skills were well known by many. Katherine will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends. Visitation will be held at the PINE HILLS VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Road (at St. Clair Ave. E.), Toronto, 416-267-8229 on Friday, March 11th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, March 12th at 1 p.m. with interment to follow.
