Passed away peacefully after a long illness at Sunnybrook Hospital at the age of 73. Loving husband to Margaret. Predeceased by his mother, Gertrud, and his father, Ernst-August. He will be remembered by his sisters-in-law Hildegard (Kiho) and Mechtilde (Werner) and brother-in-law Claus (Brigitte). He will be greatly missed by his lifelong friend, Fritz, in Germany, and his close friends George and Nancy, Teresa, Ghislaine, Jack, Martha and children, and all of his neighbours at YCC 24. Heartfelt thanks to Karl’s very dedicated and caring physician, Dr. Hannah Zuckermann. Please join us for a celebration of Karl’s life at the York Visitation Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd., North York (north of Sheppard Ave., west of Yonge St., 416-221-3404) on Saturday, September 20th, 2014 at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders by calling 1-800-982-7903 or on-line at www.msf.ca.
