It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judi Bignall on January 9, 2026, at the age of 83 due to Parkinson’s complications, surrounded by her family. She was born January 14, 1942 in Toronto, Ontario, daughter to the late Walter and Margaret Smith.
Judi is survived by her husband of 61 years, Neil Bignall; four children, Heather Fuller, Daniel Bignall, Alan Bignall and Sharon Bignall; five grandchildren, Alyssa and Christian Fuller, Kallum and Kasha Bignall and Ozzy Stewart; two great-grandchildren, Otis and July Del Medico; and her "Lil sis", Marilyn Brown. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Judi grew up in the Swansea, Toronto. Summers were spent at the cherished family cottage in Peterborough, where she created lifelong memories with her cousins. She became a pastor’s wife in Port Authur when she married Neil and later served as missionaries together in Colombia, South America for 25 years. She later thrived teaching ESL to adult students in Mississauga. She enjoyed travelling to Iceland, China and bus tours with Neil. Her legacy lives on in all who loved her, and we will forever miss her laughter, her humour, her thoughtful text messages, her sunrise photos and the deep love she carried for God and her family.
