<div itemprop="description">At her very young age of 74, Joyce fought a short and courageous battle with a vicious cancer with her loving family at her side. Joyce is survived by her husband Herb, son Stuart, daughter Kirstie and her husband Tom and her grandson Andrew. Her brothers Jim and Donald and his wife Linda in England. <br /> <br />Born in England, she married Herb and left immediately for Canada in 1959. <br /> <br />As a Certified Management Accountant, Joyce had a long successful career including Controller for Laurentide Kitchens, Vice-President Finance and Administration for Ketchum Canada and Controller for Peter Higgins Architects. She will be well remembered by all her colleagues. <br /> <br />In retirement, Joyce and Herb travelled extensively and continued their enjoyment of the theatre and all forms of dance. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Herb will greatly miss his best friend. Joyce requested a small private funeral. <br /> <br />A Celebration of Life will be held at Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre on Sat., Jan. 25 between 1pm-3pm ceremony at 2pm. <br /> <br />In memory of Joyce and in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Terry Fox Foundation.</div>
