[A Life of Quiet Strength, Kindness, and Faith.]
Beloved father and brother Joseph Kwabena Gyabaah passed away at the age of 67. He lived a full and meaningful life that was sadly cut short. Joseph fought the good fight of faith as he courageously battled a neurological illness, and in the end, he rested peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital, surrounded not only by his daughter but by the presence and peace of God.
Joseph found joy in the simple moments of life. After long days of work, he loved returning home to rest on his couch while watching Nigerian movies, with his favorite actor being Frederick Leonard. Music also brought him comfort, especially songs by artists such as Nana Ampadu, Konadu, and City Boys.
Born in Ghana, Joseph was a kind-hearted man who wore his heart openly. Whenever he saw someone in need, he never hesitated to help in whatever way he could. Though naturally quiet and introverted, he shared warm smiles and meaningful conversations with the few friends he held close.
In the latter part of his life, Joseph gave his life to Christ. His transformation was evident in the tenderness of his heart. He was often moved to tears while listening to sermons, Christian music, or when loved ones spoke words of encouragement in the faith. His love for God became a quiet but powerful testimony of a life touched by grace.
Joseph passed peacefully on February 3, 2026.
Though our hearts ache with his absence, we find comfort in the promise of Scripture:
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8
We trust that he now rests in eternal glory.
