Jose Rodriguez
March 13, 1944 - November 14, 2012
Jose Rodriguez born March 13,1944 in his homeland Cadiz, Spain was well known to many as a peaceful, trustworthy, respectable man.
His Journey in life began from very young, having been born one year before the ending of World War II, Jose very quickly grew to appreciate and survive in a non materialistic way of life. He very much enjoyed simplicity.
Jose grew up with the Catholic belief and was proud to tell tales of his Alter boy days, attending mass and adequately assisting the priest and the people of God.
As a young man, Jose worked with the ship cargos in Spain where he travelled an extended amount and enjoyed describing the beauties and ethnicities of the different cultures, foods and experiences of such diversity.
In 1977, Jose relocated to Toronto, Canada where his sister was in hopes to start a new life filled with endless opportunities. He married and landed a job as a Sous Chef at a local downtown restaurant.
In 1978, His first daughter was born. Plans to move back to Spain were cancelled, since opportunities in Canada were growing and Jose quickly adapted to Canada's way of life.
In the early 80's TD Bank had offered him steady employment in their head office mailroom, where Jose worked diligently and remained employed with TD until he retired in 2009. He was adored by all of his colleagues and was known to be a hard worker.
In 1986, Jose's son was born and Jose continued to work and strive for the betterment of his children's careers.
Jose Rodriguez is a one of a kind person, somebody who lived life to the fullest with no complaints and little luxury.
Jose cared about his family, his children, his friends, his neighbours, always ensuring everybody was ok.
Jose enjoyed a good game of soccer and also enjoyed tennis and golf tournaments. Jose continued to enjoy small travels to Cuba and homemade meals were a given.
Jose is a grandfather to 4 grand daughters, Azaliya, Aiana, Samara and Suriah; a father to 2 children, Raquel and Sergio; a brother to 5 siblings, an uncle to 3 nephews and 4 nieces, a father in law and a friend to a countless population, he will be sadly missed, but forever in our hearts.
