<div itemprop="description">Joost Batelaan, 83, passed away peacefully from Cancer at Sunnybrook Hospital on Feb 14 2014. Beloved husband of Tine (Haarink) and loving father of his six children Lydia (husband Bob Saunders), John (predeceased), Rick (wife Jennifer), Anna Marie (husband Jim Tate), Peter and Martin (wife Marlene). Cherished Opa to his six grandchildren Rachel, Jason, Katherine, Krystal, Mieka, Reiley and great granddaughter Scarlet. After the war, Joost emigrated from Holland met Tine and started their family. Joost received his Engineering Physics degree from The University of Toronto.</div>
