MOIR, John Munro – Member of the TSE (Toronto Stock Exchange) for 40 years
After a difficult year, John passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the age of 87. He is predeceased by Bernice, his cherished wife of 42 years, his brother Bruce, his sister Margo and his granddaughter Michelle. John is survived by his brother Jim (Noreen) and his friend and partner Joan McAslan. Loving father of Lynn (Mark), Lee (John), John (Helen) and Margo (Martin). Proud grandfather of nine grandchildren: Mike, Chris, David, Brian, Jacquelin, Jessica, Michelle, Jennifer and Stephanie and great-grandfather of six: Matthew, Connor, Kaitlin, Jaxen, Scarlett and Grace. Special thanks to the staff at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for their care of John. Respecting John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will meet and receive friends at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd. East, Richmond Hill on Tuesday, November 18th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. If desired, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Parkinson Society Canada or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
