In Loving Memory of Jose Machado Mendonça

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Machado Mendonça, who passed away on August 13, 2026, at Toronto Western Hospital, at the age of 76.

Jose will be lovingly remembered by his  wife, Marie Mendonça, and his four children: Arthur (David), Jennifer (Rob), Lisa (Alex), and John (Chantelle).

He will be deeply missed by his beloved grandchildren: Gus, Liam, Eddison, Ronin, Chloé, Victor, Colton, Hudson, Nolan and reunited with his granddaughter McKinley in heaven.

Jose will also be remembered with love by his sister-in-law, Odilia (Carlos) Araujo, and his extended family and friends.

Jose cherished his family above all else. He took great pride in the lives of his children and grandchildren and treasured the time they shared together. His kindness, love, and memories will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

A passionate soccer fan, Jose proudly supported his favourite team, Benfica. His love of the game was another special part of his life and something that will be fondly remembered by those close to him.

Though he is no longer with us, Jose’s love and legacy will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
