Joan Raghunandan
January 27, 1944 - December 17, 2013
Joan Raghunandan, 69, of Brampton, Ontario, formerly of Guyana, died suddenly, but peacefully on December 17th, 2013, at 11:45 a.m. at Etobicoke General Hospital. Born January 27th, 1944 in Port Mourant, Corentyne, Berbice, Guyana, she is predeceased by her parents, five siblings, and son-in-law Joseph Vrastiak and survived by her husband of 50 years, Leonard Raghunandan.
Joan will be greatly missed by her brothers, sisters, and all in-laws. Survivors include her sons, Moses (Christine), Martin and Terry (Urmilla) Raghunandan, and daughter Lourita Vrastiak; grandchildren Sarah, Katherina, Joanna, Joshua, Matthew and Amanda; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and her church family, and many friends.
Joan was a very loving, giving, and out-going person. She loved to do many things such as cook and bake. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
1 Corinthians 15:51-54: “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that it is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”
