<div itemprop="description">DICKSON, Joan Barbara (Elizabeth) - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Dickson (nee Moss) on Thursday, July 4th, 2013 at UniversalCare in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. <br /> <br />Predeceased by loving husband Adolph Dickson M.D. (Nov 2012), and first husband Sidney Frederick Goodfellow (May 1962) Joan was the cherished mother and mother-in-law of Linda and David Myles, Patricia and Ross Laycraft, Ken and Vida Dickson. <br /> <br />Mia, as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, will be lovingly remembered by Luke (Cathy) Myles, Ian (Jen) Myles, Ashley Laycraft, Kevin Laycraft, Alnis (Brooke) Dickson and great-grandchildren Ryan Myles and Esker Dickson. <br /> <br />Born July 27, 1931 in Liverpool, England, she immigrated to Canada in 1957 with her husband Sidney Frederick Goodfellow, her first love and father of her children, Linda and Patricia, <br /> <br />Elizabeth to her many dear friends found joy from the abundance of special memories made with her family. She recounted those happy times frequently with friends and caregivers. <br /> <br />Special thanks to the incredibly compassionate staff at UniversalCare, LTC and the Renal Dialysis Program at Mackenzie Health. <br /> <br />Friends and family are invited to gather at the York Cemetery and Visitation Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd., North York (north of Sheppard Ave., west of Yonge St., 416-221-3404) on Sunday, July 21, 2013. Visitation from 2pm &ndash; 2:30., with a Celebration Of Life and Reception to follow. <br /> <br />In memory of Joan and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Vasculitis Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family. <br /></div>
