With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Jin Chum Mark, on February 12, 2026. After a brief illness and a valiant fight, he passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
Jin Chum Mark is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of more than 70 years, Yuon Bik (née Seto); his son, Stan; his daughters, Grace and Nancy (Gordon); and his cherished granddaughters, Alicia and Ariana. He was a steadfast and guiding presence in their lives, and his love and quiet strength will be deeply missed.
Born on September 16, 1931, in Guangdong, China, Jin Chum Mark set out at the age of 25 on a courageous journey across the world in search of opportunity and a better life. In 1956, he began building his future in Ontario. A decade later, he reunited with his wife in Canada, where together they laid the foundation for their family and created a warm and welcoming home in downtown Toronto.
Jin Chum Mark worked diligently in the restaurant industry for most of his adult life, providing for his family with humility and determination. In retirement, he found great joy in traveling with his beloved wife and spending his golden years surrounded by family and friends.
His life was a testament to perseverance, devotion, and love. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to his family that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
