In memory of

Jeannie Ellen Easterbrook

August 31, 1942 - August 11, 2025

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my life partner for 48 wonderful years, Jeannie (Jeanne) Ellen Easterbrook August 11, 2025 after a short battle with lung cancer. Jeannie would have turned 83 on August 31.

Jeannie spent most of her younger years in the Burlington, Waterdown, and Campbellville areas. Her award-winning smile has been acclaimed by many throughout her life and again upon hearing of her passing.

Upon her earlier marriage to Terrence (Terry) Easterbrook, Jeannie gave birth to Cynthia (Cindy) Danforth Easterbrook. Tragically, Cindy passed at the tender age of 2 and both her birthday and date of death remained very sad dates for Jeannie every year for the rest of her life.

One of Jeannie's passions in her early years was dance - in particular highland where she competed very successfully at a young age. Later she taught highland, ballet, tap, and jazz.

In addition to dance, Jeannie was a perfectionist in all that she did. Her second passion was design and decorating her homes and sometimes those of others. She never turned professional despite many urging her to do so. Our initial apartment for one year in Burlington and subsequent home for 46 years in Pickering always drew the awe of every guest. Her focus on class and eloquence came through in every room and corner of the house and every article in it.

During her marriage, Jeannie helped to run successful family businesses. Subsequently she held Executive Assistant positions with her exceptional and very professional office and organization skills. Later in life following in her mother's footsteps, with her love of homes she also became a successful real estate salesperson.

Born to Joe and Sadie Adams, Jeannie was sister to: elder brother Bob (Bobbie); Noreen Reid (Dave, both deceased); younger sister June Hilda Blake (deceased); and youngest sister Josephine Holden (Dave, Rai).

Jeannie has been cremated and she will rest in a columbarium wall in Avondale cemetery, Stratford, Ontario, beside her beloved sister June (Junie) and with treasured articles of baby Cindy.

If anyone wishes to make a donation in her memory both Canadian Cancer Society or any animal charity such as SPCA and local shelters would no doubt generate that smile once again.

Any celebration of life will be announced later in the fall.
