In Loving Memory of Jean Tom

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Tom: a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed away on July 18, 2026 at the age of 91, surrounded by her loving family.

Jean will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with everyone who knew her. She devoted her life caring for her family and will forever be remembered for the unwavering love, support and dedication she showed them. She was an avid gardener that took great joy in nurturing her crops from seed to harvest. Her love could be felt in the vegetables she generously shared with everyone she knew. Though her passing was sudden and tragic, her gentle spirit and the cherished memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Norman Tom and a lasting legacy through her devoted children and their spouses: Wilman Tom (Theresa), Meeley Chan (George), and Verlie Nguyen (Dung). She was an incredibly proud grandmother to Catherine (Neil), Caroline (Kevin), Jonathan (Magdalene), Elizabeth, Hillary Jordanne, Brian (Amy), and Ashley; and a doting great-grandmother to Madeline, Jemma, and Caleb, all of whom will forever miss her.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres on July 25th. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM - 2:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00PM. As an expression of sympathy, flowers or a donation to a charity of your choice are gratefully accepted in her memory.
