After a long and courageous battle with leukemia, Jason passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 46. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Jaime and Sagrada Relunia; his brothers Jonathan, Jerry (Jessica), James (Christine); and his sister Sharon Verma (Manish); his nephews Timothy, Kaiden, and Jaime; and his nieces Selena and Elianne.

Jason was a kind and gentle person who loved nature and people. He was born with natural gifts, and those gifts touched the hearts and minds of those he met and connected with throughout his life. He was a multi-talented artist, sharing his love of music through performances, displaying his artistry through amazing fire dancing, and creating art that brought his unique approach to every piece. Jason could often be found at Kensington Market for many years, sharing his musical gifts, bringing joy to the community and supporting fellow artists. He cherished his family, friends and life's opportunities and embraced new experiences with curiosity and wonder.

Details on Visitation, Funeral Service and Reception:

All services will be held at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill.

Visitation: Thursday, August 14, 4:00-8:00 pm. The first portion (4:00-6:00 pm) will be an opportunity for friends and family to share memories, speeches, and songs in an open format. The later portion (6:00-8:00 pm) will be quiet, traditional visitation.

Morning Visitation: Friday, August 15, 9:00-10:00 am

Funeral Service: Friday, August 15, 10:00 am in the Chapel. A live webcast of the service will also be available. Please arrive by 9:40 am for seating if not attending morning visitation.

Reception: Friday, August 15, 11:00 am-2:00 pm with light refreshments.
