Jane Martin McMillen
December 2, 1920 - July 14, 2014
Jane Martin McMillen died peacefully on Monday July 14th in her 94th year. Until she broke her hip in 2011, she lived independently in her own place. She had enjoyed a full retirement, taking photographs wherever she went, working as a volunteer bookkeeper for Curtain Call Plauers and Diakoneo, and volunteering at Glen-Rhodes United Church, where she was a long-time member.
Jane talked often and fondly of her brother, Bob King, and her parents, Belle and Jim McMillen ( all deceased). Her cousins will remember her with love. Thanks to her many friends for keeping in touch with her during her stay in the nursing home. In particular a special word of gratitiude to Audrey and Art Frogley whose visits and friendship were extremely important to her. Thanks to Sheila Hunter, her caregiver and the staff at Leisure World, Ellesmere Rd E. for their conscientious care.
Funeral Service will be held at Glen-Rhodes United Church, 1470 Gerrard St E., Toronto M4L2A3 on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Glen-Rhodes United Church in memory of Jane would be appreciated.
