<div itemprop="description">Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Adored husband of Roseanne. Cherished father of Paula &amp; Joe, Judith, Ellen &amp; Mark. Proud grandfather of Jenna, Stephanie &amp; Mark, Evan, Claire, Adrienne, Elizabeth, Sydney, Alexis &amp; Sophie. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends as a man whose life was defined by his incredible sense of responsibility for family and loyalty to friends. A proud member of the Toronto Scottish, he served during WWII. Jim was an avid sportsman with a particular interest for curling and golf, enjoying the camaraderie of teammates and playing partners as much as the competition. A special thanks to the compassionate staff at Meighen Manor. A visitation will be held at the YORK VISITATION CENTRE 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto (North of Sheppard Ave., 1st street west of Yonge St.) 416-221-3404, on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 12:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army and CNIB.</div>
