James Eadie "Jimmy" Scott
December 7, 1928 - January 26, 2016
Born in Brantford on December 7, 1928, died peacefully in Pickering on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Bay Ridges Long Term Care after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Loving husband of the late Reta (nee Corrick). Beloved father of Brian (Lynda), Leslie (Mitch) and Glenn. Proud grandfather of Ryland and Romy, Sarah and Julie and Laura and Jenny. Dear brother of Molly, Barbara and the late Sam, Billy, Bobby, Jean and Kay. Jim worked for forty years for the Toronto Board of Education (Transportation). He loved sports and enjoyed watching any hockey game, especially minor hockey. He played in one of the best fastball leagues in Ontario at Kew Beach in the 1950`s. Jim also played senior hockey in Brantford where he was born. We would like to thank all of the caregivers at Bay Ridges Long Term Care for their kindness and compassion as Jim passed through his difficult journey. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 7 pm until 9 pm at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering, 905-686-5589. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 12 pm with visitation one hour prior and reception then burial to follow.
