Jack Connell Sibley passed away peacefully at Chateau Gardens in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario at 12:35 pm, March 26, with his family by his side. Born on December 12, 1919 and raised in his early years in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Jack finished highschool at Vaughan Road Collegiate Institute and lived most of his active life in Toronto. He and Joan were active members of the Manulife Quarter Century Club. Jack is a WWII veteran who served his country both in the armed forces, where he was injured in a jeep accident and then re-enlisted to serve his country once again in the navy. Jack was highly active in the Credit Union movement where he served a term as president of the National Association of Canadian Credit Unions. His desire to champion "doing the right thing" earned him a number of appointments to Boards and Committees including a few appointments by the Honourable William Davis, Premier of Ontario where he challenged the status quo when required. Jack was an active lawn bowler in his retired years and excelled at the sport right up to his 90th year. He is survived by his wife Joan, his two sons Craig (Christina) and Eric, his grandchildren William, Kailey, Samantha, Liam, Aiden and Jenna and several nieces and nephews.
