J. Douglas Kerr
February 17, 1933 - September 21, 2015
J. Douglas Kerr
The family is very saddened to announce that Doug passed away in the very early morning of September 21, 2015, in his home. Loving husband to wife Barbara for 58 years and deeply loved by all his children; John (Joanne), David, Michael, and Sandy (Danny), as well as his grandchildren Adam (Amanda), Jeremy, Amy, and his great-granddaughters Autumn and Emma. Past-president of Doyle Electric, and past employee of Nedco-Widelite, long-time cottage resident of Thunder Beach, Tiny Twsp, and son of the late John and Vera Kerr, Collingwood. He pursued his love of music (Scarboro Dukes of Harmony) and when not exploring new recipes to try in the kitchen, he loved playing with gadgets and tools. He would rather travel anywhere than be at home, and one thing that made him always smile would be opportunities to recollect his many travels with his wife to exotic places around the world. Donations in memory of Doug would be appreciated to the Parkinson's Society's "Mississauga Wilkinson Warriors Superwalk Team" or the Renal Program, Trillium Health Partners. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 3pm - 7pm, at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga (Dixie Rd., 2 lights south of Eglinton Ave., 905-602-1580)
