Ivy Shuet Fung Chin, 83, of Markham, Ontario, passed away on Saturday November 29, 2025. She was born on December 6, 1941 in Hong Kong to Chan, Shui Ting and Ho, Yee.

Ivy was a dedicated mother, stepmother, grandmother, and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humour, and a cheerful heart.

She is survived by her child, Frances; her stepchildren, Ian and Warren; and her beloved grandchildren, Caitlin, Andrew, Carmel, Charlotte, and Chloe. She also leaves behind her siblings Bessy (Rawson), Joe (Fanny) and Eddie.

Ivy cherished her family above all else. She loved mahjong, travelling and sharing meals with family and friends, and she created countless memories that her loved ones will carry forward.

She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas, and siblings Annie, William, and Susan.

A celebration of Ivy’s life will be held on Sunday December 14 at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre. Visitation begins at 9:30am followed by a service at 10:30am. Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories. There will a gathering after the service.

Her kindness and love will live on in all who knew her.
