With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ivy.
Born on October 13, 1938, in Lahore, Pakistan, she lived a life defined by unwavering faith, fierce strength, unconditional love, and devotion to her family. She married the love of her life, Ivan, on March 4, 1957, beginning a beautiful journey together that would span decades of love, perseverance, and family.
She is lovingly survived by her four children: Mary (Godfrey), Diana (Edward), Chris (Edna), and Anita (David).
Ivy was a proud and devoted grandmother to Joan (Kevin), Kim, Luke, CJ (Linda), Chantel (Ian), Melanie, Adam, Julia (Darien), Justin (Alyssa), Chloe, and Oliver, and a cherished great-grandmother to Elijah, Jaziah, Gianna, Roman, Ava, Gabriel, and Caiden. Nothing brought her greater joy than watching her family grow.
Affectionately known as the “Sergeant” of the family, she was never afraid to speak her mind and always told it exactly as it was. Her strength, honesty, and determination became some of her most admired qualities. Beneath her tough exterior was a heart overflowing with love, always ready to care for those around her.
Ivy truly was a jack of all trades. Whether she was preparing a meal, fixing something around the house, killing bugs for her granddaughters, dancing across the floor as a ballroom dancer, baking treats, caring for family members, or creating beautiful knitted treasures, there was seemingly nothing she couldn’t do. She poured herself into everything with pride, dedication, and love.
She found great peace in tending to her garden, carefully watering her plants and watching them flourish—just as she nurtured the people in her life.
Towards the end of her journey, Ivy still continued to persevere and show great strength, however, her greatest strength was her deep and unwavering faith in God. Through every season of life, she trusted Him completely.
We find comfort in her being at peace and reunited with the Heavenly Father as well as the love of her life.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
We love you always, mom / nana / big nana
