Irmgard “Irmie” Irene Bramer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Toronto on December 6, 2025. After facing the challenges of Parkinson’s for many years with courage and grace, she is now free from its burden and at peace.
Irmie is survived by her loving husband, Josef Bramer; her sons, Peter Bramer (Erin) and Rob Bramer (Rhian); and her four cherished grandchildren, Rebecca, Owen, Blakely, and Everleigh. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill Enns (Kathy) and Nick Enns (Marlene), along with a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends in Manitoba.
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Irmie moved to Toronto in her twenties, where she built a meaningful life and career. A dedicated Registered Nurse, she worked for more than 30 years in the operating room at Scarborough General Hospital, caring for patients with steadiness, skill, empathy, and compassion.
Irmie loved the outdoors and lived life with a joyful heart. She cherished time at the family cottage in Minden, Ontario, spending her days gardening, walking, being active, and surrounded by nature. She and her husband, Joe, enjoyed many vacations during retirement, including frequent winter trips to Florida, where they spent endless hours walking along the ocean.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Toronto.
