<div itemprop="description">After a yearlong battle of Cancer, Irene Infante (born Romay), 59, of Mississauga, passed away alongside her family on August 3rd, 2015 at 9:09am. She was cared for by her family at home, but took her final breath at the Credit Valley hospital in Mississauga, Ontario. <br /> <br />Born January 11th, 1956 in Montevideo, Uruguay to her late parents Areste and Liliana Romay of Uruguay. Married to Antonio Infante in 1975 and then immigrated to Canada in 1976 with their infant son. They spent 39 years together until death do them part. <br /> <br />Survivors include her husband, Antonio Infante, son Gonzalo Infante (girlfriend Nadia), brothers Pablo Romay (wife Monica, children Danilo, Mauro, and Hernan) and Nicolas Romay (wife Judith, children, Soledad and Natalia) sisters Patricia Sonnenburg (children Karl Heinz and Caroline Sonnenburg), and Adriana Romay, niece Vivian Infante, and very close friends. <br /> <br />Funeral visitation will take place on August 7th, 2015 between 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Mass will take place on August 8th, 2015 at 10:00am at the St-Francis Xavier Church. A private cremation service will take place. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca). Condolences may be left in Irene`s online guest book. <br /> <br />The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Princess Margaret hospital, Spectrum Healthcare, and the Credit Valley hospital for all their support. <br /></div>
