<div itemprop="description">IRVING, Bernice Passed away suddenly but peacefully at St Joseph's Hospital, Toronto on Monday, May 30, 2011 at the age of 85. Bernice was the daughter of the late Eva Grice&nbsp;and Henry Johnston. Born in Mount Forest, Ontario on December 21, 1925 she resided in Toronto for 66 years. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Healy. Loving&nbsp;mother of&nbsp;Ross (Cheryl Gibson <b> ) </b> , John (Helen Chudoba), Gary (Anne Bastarache) and her departed daughter Joan, children from her first marriage with the late Calvin (Kelly) Irving.&nbsp;Much loved grandmother to Tully, Dylan, Luke, Stella and Finnley. Adored sister of the late Beulah <b> &nbsp; </b> Pinder <b> &nbsp; </b> (nee Johnston) and her&nbsp;husband Frank Pinder.&nbsp; <br /> Bernice and Jim&nbsp;worked together for years&nbsp;in their family carnival business and demonstration sales until they retired together just over twenty years ago. Bernice was a devoted member of T.O.P.S #102, where she was a member for 27 years.&nbsp; She made many close friends there,&nbsp;as she was always ready with a kind word and a smile. Bernice was&nbsp;very&nbsp;proud of her accomplishments and the organization.&nbsp;She worked tirelessly&nbsp;knitting clothes for premature infants to donate to various hospitals and charities. She also kept busy with swimming every week, and taking care of her&nbsp;beautiful violets.&nbsp; <b> &nbsp; </b> Bernice we will miss your&nbsp;quiet gentle way, your&nbsp;delicious pies and home made bread, your smile and your sweetness, you will be missed but never forgotten. <br /> The family will receive friends at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (375 Mount Pleasant Road), in the Visitation Centre for a service and <b> &nbsp; </b> reception to follow at the same location on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. Enter the cemetery through the East side, off of Mount Pleasant Road. Drive straight toward the office then turn right toward the Visitation Centre, follow the signs.&nbsp;Friends who wish to do so may make memorial donations to the St Joseph's Health Centre Foundation at&nbsp;www.donations.stjoe.on.ca.
