謝鴻參先生自幼心懷勇氣，年僅十五歲便遠渡重洋來到加拿大。在加拿大度過七十五載歲月裡，他以決心、韌性與赤誠之心，構築了自己的一生。令人驚嘆的是，此次入院是他生平第一次，也是最後一次住院——這安靜地印證了他一生所擁有的強健體魄與堅韌生命力。

他一生辛勤不輟，足跡遍佈全國，憑著決心、韌性與真心開創生活。他骨子裡是一位創業者，在找到餐飲業的真正使命前，曾嘗試多種事業，包括經營禮品店。與他摯愛的妻子 麗 賢 （Lillian）攜手，他們不僅成功創立了一家餐館，更建立起一段以伴侶情深、辛勤耕耘和共同夢想為基石的人生。

在眾人親切的稱呼中，他是「Tom叔」。他身後留有愛妻麗賢；女兒Jasmine（丈夫Lou）；孫女Jasmine（丈夫Chris）；以及孫子Harrison。此刻，他已與長女Kay重逢——這位他始終珍藏於心的女兒。

Hung Cham Tom Tse, age 90, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday morning, January 24, at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.

Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, chef, and friend — a man who believed deeply that food was the essence of life. Through his cooking, he showed love the way some people use words. Over the years, he fed not only family and friends, but entire communities. To many, he wasn’t just a chef — he was their chef.

Born with a courageous spirit, Tom came to Canada at just 15 years old. Over 75 years in Canada, he built a life defined by determination, resilience, and heart. Remarkably, this was his first hospital admission — and his last — a quiet testament to a life of strength and endurance.

He worked tirelessly and traveled across the country, building a life through determination, resilience, and heart. An entrepreneur at his core, he explored different ventures, including running a gift shop, before finding his true calling in the restaurant business. Together with his beloved wife, Lillian, he built not only a successful restaurant but a life grounded in partnership, hard work, and shared dreams.

Known to many as UncleTom, he is survived by his loving wife, Lillian; his daughter Jasmine (Lou); his granddaughter Jasmine (Chris); and his grandson Harrison. He now reunites with his eldest daughter, Kay, whom he carried in his heart always.

Tom will be remembered for his generosity, his tireless work ethic, his quiet strength, and the warmth he brought to every table. His legacy lives on in the meals shared, the lessons passed down, and the family he loved so deeply.
