Hugh Lindsay Robinson
November 1, 1955 - August 8, 2013
Hugh Lindsay Robinson, 57, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 8th surrounded by his wife Karen and children, Caitlin and Liam.
Born in Belfast, Hugh was a proud and loquacious Irishman; dedicated to his family, friends and the youth, families and colleagues whose lives he touched in his many years of public service. Known as Coach Hugh to many, he loved sports both on and off the field. He was an exercise enthusiast and when he could no longer cycle and run, he walked daily with his beloved dogs, Callie and Mocha. A generous and compassionate soul, Hugh's family and many friends will miss his kind heart and countless conversations, as one sided as they might have been!
Hugh will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Karen and their children Caitlin and Liam, of whom he was extremely proud. He leaves behind sister Marlene (Murray); brother-in-law Gary (Sandy) and his nieces and nephews Tara, Meaghan, Adam, Sara and Daniel. Hugh's friendship will be missed by many, in particular lifelong friends Dennis and Janice as well as his cousins, aunts and uncles. Hugh was predeceased by his mother Ellen and father Mark. The family would like to thank Dr. Boxall for her endless support.
Do not mourn our loss as he gave more than others twice his age. Join us to celebrate Hugh's life on Tuesday August 13th at 6 pm at the Bob Rumball Association for the Deaf, 7801 #5 Sideroad, Milton. At Hugh's insistence, pizza will be served.
For those who wish, donations may be made to PAH! Hugh was deeply passionate about supporting children and youth in Halton. He was instrumental in establishing PAH!, a unique program that helps deaf and hard of hearing children and youth struggling with mental health issues. Donations to PAH! can be made and sent by mail to the following address. Donations should be identified for the PAH! Program on the cheque.
