<div itemprop="description">DINGSDALE, Hugh Frazer, born Portobello, Edinburgh, Scotland September 13, 1916. Passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in Burlington, Ontario. Pre-deceased by dearly beloved wife Anne Eileen (Roberts), Mother Elizabeth Jane Frazer and Father Christopher Dingsdale, older brother William Christopher and younger brother Norman Frazer. Survived by step-daughter Patricia Anne Carveth (Bob), granddaughter Kelli Stacey Budway (Jason) and great-granddaughter Rebecca, grandson Warren Michael Budway (Jessica), great-grandsons Jack and Sam and nephew Michael Dingsdale. Hugh spent 1937-1947 in Colonial Service, Hong Kong and 1941-1945 as P.O.W., Hong Kong. After release, was attached as liaison officer with RAF Military Transport Pool, Hong Kong 2 years. Was long time active member of AROM (Avenue Road Officers&rsquo; Mess) and honorary and active member of AHOM (Armour Heights Officers&rsquo; Mess-Staff College). Former General Manager/Executive of Building Specialties Ltd. and Drummond &amp; Reeves Ltd. 14 years. Later was Manufacturers&rsquo; Agent with several, large USA companies in construction safety materials and was well known across Canada in the construction industry. Hugh was a member in good standing of several P.O.W., Associations in Hong Kong and U.K.; also a Life Member of Royal Over-Seas League and Canadian Professional Sales Association. Thanks to Dr. Johnson (deceased) North York; Dr. D. Livingstone, Sunnybrook Hospital, Internist-Neuro-Surgeon; Dr. Morton, Sunnybrook Hospital, Cancer Department; Dr. Elder, North York, Ophthalmologist; Dr. Jerome, Burlington; Dr. Mody, Cardiac Specialist, all doctors and staff at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington; Dr. Teoh, Heart Surgeon, Hamilton General Hospital, Dr. Jim Cooper, Plastic Surgeon, Hamilton General Hospital.<br />Friends and family are invited to gather at the York Cemetery and Visitation Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd., North York (north of Sheppard Ave., west of Yonge St.) on Friday October 10th, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the veterans&rsquo; section where Hugh joins his beloved wife Anne. A celebration of life will be held in the afternoon at the Armour Heights Officer&rsquo;s Mess (215 Yonge Blvd.) between 14:00 and 16:00 hours (refreshments). For those who wish to commemorate Hugh through donations, please consider the Ontario Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.<br /><br /></div>
