It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Chu Hsin Sheng on February 28, 2026, at the age of 91.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Ou-Hsien (Mary); his children, Wei-Hing (William), Suet-Ngor (Sarna) and Vichit (Victor); his daughter in laws, Hsiang-Ling (Michelle) and Ri Hong (Natalie), his son in law Liu, Sung-Hsiang; and his cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Daniel, Ryan, Jordan, Serena, Katrina and Yelena.

He was born in Calcutta, India in 1934. He was the oldest in a family of 9. He met and married Liao, Ou-Hsien in 1962 and they welcomed three children. He moved the family to Hong Kong, Thailand and then Canada in search for a better life.

After his retirement, he traveled a lot, and his special place was China. When he could not travel far anymore, he devoted his free time to hanging out with his friends, talking, drinking coffee, eating snacks. He led a simple life that is filled with good deeds for others and he never refused a plea for help. People sought him out for his advice and knowledge. He made lots of friends easily.

He took immense pride in his children and becoming a grandfather gave him tremendous joy and happiness. He treasured every moment he could spend with his grandchildren.

He will be missed by his wife the most. It was a 63 years journey of love and commitment to each other and to their family. We will always miss his lovely smile, strong guidance and abundance of love for us all.
