Moved to Montreal in 1962 and then moved to Toronto in 1995.

Helen was a spirited person who lived without limits. She was a people person. She could talk to anyone for hours and hours to anyone who crossed her path. She especially loved spending time with the kids in the family.

In and around the age of thirty, she developed muscular dystrophy, mobility became her life's challenge. But Helen rarely considered her wheelchair as an obstacle, but rather was grateful for the comfort and freedom it provided her. Whenever a stranger stared at her, she truly believed it was because they were admiring her fortitude and style. She took tremendous pride in dressing up, fancy hat and all. Just to go to the store for milk.

She decided to enrol in Humber College to learn computer skills at the age of 60 and was quite proud of herself, and would say…”See…I am not handicapped”

She was an active member of the Downsview Seventh-day Adventist Church, until her condition became too serious to travel. The sisters and Pastors gave her the skills to deal with her affliction and provided hope.

Her interests included family, sewing, crafts, cooking and reading the bible. She devoted much of her time and energy to talking to family.

Helen Norma Clyke is survived by her Mother: Frances, Sister: Grace; Son: Anthony Grandson: Anakin Deago, Daughter in law: Ana Daughter: Virginia, Nephew, Fred&Royal Nieces: Angela, Evelyn&Duane, Anne Marie, Melissa,.
