We are saddened to share the news of the passing of our beloved mum, granny, and nana, Helen Coleman (nee Stewart), on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in Inglewood, Ontario. She is survived by her six children: John, Alaster, Helen, Kathleen, Margaret, and Mary, and their spouses, partners, and former partners, who all shared in her wonderful life, as well as her brother Charles and his wife Elizabeth, and her sister-in-law Rita. Her legacy lives on in her twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and newborn great-great-grandchild. They brought her so much joy and pride, as did her many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is predeceased by her husband of 28 years, John Coleman, and Hollis MacNevin, 10 years, as well as her mother and father, Helen and James Stewart, and siblings Margaret, Jim, John, Sam, and Mary. Her greatest sadness was the loss of her dear grandson, David, but their beautiful souls are united today in heaven.
Helen’s great love made everyone feel like family, and she laughed easily, always able to find the good in any situation. In both her work and home life, Helen did everything with determination and an unparalleled work ethic, and whether it was riding around Bolton on her scooter at the age of 78 or taking the grandkids for a ride in her convertible at 85, she brought happiness to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She fiercely loved her dear dogs, Sonny 1 and Sonny 2, and they loved her in turn.
Helen was a living reminder of what it means to be young at heart and to live life to the fullest, and as you think of her, please allow your wonderful memories to bring you comfort.
