She was also married to the late Carlos Alvarez in 1949. <br /> <br />Gladys is survived by her 9 children; Carmen Alvarez-Pozo, Marieta Muller, Elizabeth Alvarez, Edison Alvarez, Grace Alvarez, Gladys Alvarez-Vanegas, Enrique Alvarez, Glenda Starks, and John Alvarez. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. <br /> <br />Funeral details noted below</div>
