Surrounded by the love of his family, Giovanni passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the age of 92, with his devoted wife Caterina and their four children by his side.

Giovanni will live forever in the hearts of his beloved wife Caterina, his son Nick (Jennifer), and his three daughters Sandra, Elizabeth (Joe), and Rita (OJ). He will be dearly missed by his cherished grandchildren Melissa (Tom), Amanda (Mike), Nicole (Jakob), Diana, Bianca (Robert), Giovanni, Michael, Genevieve, and John, and lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren Sienna, Brielle, Dominic, and Otto.

A beloved husband of 70 years, cherished neighbour, devoted grandfather, and proud father, Giovanni touched the lives of all who knew him well.

He will be remembered for his beautiful gardening tradition, a practice he brought with him from Italy at the age of 23 and lovingly preserved throughout his life, staying true to its roots and honoring its timeless ways. He will also be fondly remembered for his joyful spirit at celebrations—never leaving the dance floor when Italian music began to play.
