<div itemprop="description">It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Gillian Maureen Butt (Hall) on Wednesday June 3, 2014 in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 55 years Kurt Henry Butt. Cherished mother of Jackie (Danny), Cathie, and Tracy (Scott) and step-mother to Kurt (Elaine). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Andrew, Austin, Natasha and Joshua who she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed by her brother-in-law Rolf Butt. Dear sister of the late David Maurice Hall and nephews Michael (Cathy), Peter (Jennifer), Steven (Shannon) and Chris (Lynn). The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the women who provided invaluable care to Gillian over the past 9 years, Maria, Raquel and Rajinder. Your love and care is appreciated more than words can express. Gillian truly loved each of you. Thanks also goes out to Dr. Jean Hudson and the palliative care team from Saint Elizabeth's with special thanks to Laura and Jennifer. We would also like to thank Minister Middleton from Armour Heights Presbyterian Church for his support and comfort during this difficult time. <br /> <br />A private memorial service will be held on Saturday June 7th for immediate family. <br /> <br />In memory of Gillian, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated. <br /> <br /></div>
