With deep sorrow but gratitude to God for a life well lived we announce the death of our beloved wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, friend and caregiver, whose sad event occurred on the 27th of January, 2026.
MRS. GIFT ESOHE ILEKHUOBA was born the 22nd of October, 1979, into the families of Late Pa. Atuariagbon Osifo of Oheze Naka and Mrs. Amenaghawon Florence of Igua-Idodo Village, both in Orionmwon Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria.
She was raised with strong moral values humility and a deep sense of compassion that would later define her life. She began her educational journey at Oheze Primary School Oheze Naka 1985-1991, where she laid a solid academic foundation. She proceeded to Oredo Secondary school (1992-1997) in Benin City, where she successfully completed her secondary Education. From an early age, she demonstrated a passion for business and entrepreneurship. After her secondary school education, she ventured into trade and business, and through diligence, resilience and God’s favour, she prospered in her Endeavour.
In the cause of her business activities Love found its way to her. On 20th April, 2000, she met and fell in love with Mr. Omozusi Ilekhuoba A.K.A(GOODMAN) their relationship blossomed and they entered into marriage 2006, beginning a union built on commitment and shared dreams life, however their union was blessed with two wonderful children, Victory Ilekhuoba and Fida Ilekhuoba who were the pride and joy of her life.
She was a devoted wife and a nurturing mother who dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family. She was in the 7th position in a family of Eleven (11) children.
In pursuit of better opportunities and to further support her family, she relocated to Canada with her two young children in 2011 when her husband’s business came to a standstill and life became uncertain. Carrying the burden of responsibility alone. Despite the distance and challenges, her love for her husband only grew stronger. These, her compassionate nature found expression in the healthcare field. She trained and qualified as a heath worker (PSW) a profession she practiced diligently and passionately. As a health worker, she cared selflessly for others, offering comfort, support and hope to many. Her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit touched the lives of patients co-workers, church members and friends.
She sponsored her husband to join her eight years (8) Later, after three times visit. Reuniting the family she had fought so hard to preserves in 2018.
MRS. GIFT ESOHE ILEKHUOBA was known for her gentle heart, generosity and wiliness to help others. Those who came in contact with her can testify to her loving and selfless nature. She lived a life of service to God, her family and humanity.
After a brief illness, she peacefully answer the call of her creator on the 27th January, 2026. Though her departure leaves a deep void in our hearts, we are comforted by the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the impactful life she lived.
