Gertrude "Liz" Elizabeth Strickland, loving wife of Jack for 56 years, passed away surrounded by family on December 12, 2025 at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg.

Liz will be missed by daughter, Judy (Ken); granddaughter, Stacey Lynn Murphy; great-grandchildren, Adelayde and Ayden; siblings Aaron, Mercedes, Irene, Jean and Susie; in-law, Francis; Lorraine and Allan; Jacqueline and Jim; and her favourite person, Randy (Dandy).

Liz is predeceased by her son, Billy Strickland; parents Aaron and Suzanna Murphy; siblings Bill, Mary, Kevin, Ellen and Cyril; and in-laws, Mae and Bill Strickland and Jack Lynch.

Noreen Fowler was Liz's best friend since elementary school in Newfoundland. She always had a very special place in her heart.

Liz will always be fondly remembered by her many Nieces and Nephews; Friends and Neighbours were some of Liz's greatest joys.

A cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to follow in the Spring on May 30, 2026.
