Gerhard Fehrle
December 12, 1937 - December 12, 2012
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerhard Hans Fehrle on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Brampton Civic Hospital, aged 75 years, after a sudden illness. He leaves behind his beloved family, wife Inge, children Steven, Susan, Sabine, and Christa, brothers- and sisters-in-law, Helmut, Shirla, Ruth, Rudy, and Roschi, and cherished nieces and nephews, Tammy, Tony, Michael, Nathan, Janine, David, Rolf, Karin, Ryan, Jason, Gabriele, Cornelia, Andreas, Karola, Michael, Carlota, and Flora. Predeceased by his father, Otto, his mother, Anna, and his four siblings in Germany, Hans, Rosemarie, Erwin, and Walter.
Gerhard was an automotive manager for Nissan Canada for most of his career, retiring at age 65 to enjoy more time with his family, friends, his garden, his children's many pets, his love of woodworking, and his passion for sports of all kinds (especially soccer). He had a heart of gold and could not say no to anyone who needed a hand.
In memory of Gerhard and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society Canada would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the compassionate doctors and nurses at the Brampton Civil Hospital.
