<div itemprop="description">DIMAKARAKOS, Georgia (nee Kapakos) - With great sadness the family of Georgia Dimakarakos announces her passing on August 23, 2015 at the age of 80, after battling an unexpected illness. Wife of the late Kyriakos Dimakarakos. Mother of Steve (Roula), Koula (Chris Jackson), Tom, and Peter (Ida Zan). Beloved grandmother of Erik/Kyriako, Ken/Kosta, Stephanie/Georgia and Alexander. Much loved sister of Theone Bitaxis, Bill (Dina) Kapakos, and Bessie (Kosta) Psihopedas. Predeceased by her brothers Tom Kapakos and George Kapakos, and sister Stavroula Parigoris. Sister-in-law, cousin, aunt and friend to many. Beloved by all who knew her. <br /> <br />Georgia was born in Paleohorion, Greece on July 19, 1935 to Panagiotis (Peter) and Christofili Kapakos, and made her journey to Canada in 1957. Throughout her life, she exuded warmth, kindness, generosity and quiet strength, always underscored by her gentle humour and steely determination. She was a pillar of strength, wisdom and unconditional love for all who knew her, especially her family and loved ones. She will be sorely missed and always remembered for the light she shone on us all. <br /> <br />Family and friends will be received at the Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Road) on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 2-4pm &amp; 6-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at St. George's Greek Orthodox Church (115 Bond St). Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the charity of your choice. <br /> <br /></div>
