Born in Aberdeen, Scotland on April 13, 1944 and died at Toronto East General Hospital, Toronto, Ontario on June 25, 2013. Father of Charles George Gambit Munro and Jamie Ross Kee. Loving brother of Esther Cooper (London, Ontario) and Ann Frape (North Port, Bellville). Uncle to Dave (Amy), Peter (Brandie) Cooper and Mathew (Marion) Bergin. Predeceased by his parents George Munro and Isabella (nee Kennedy). George was an associate member of Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club since 1996 and was a long time active supporter and volunteer of the British Motor Club (BEMC) for marshalling and scrutineering at Mosport. George was employed for many companies during his working career; National Cash Register (NCR), he was an estate manager for the Ruby family (Oakville), he worked at the University of Toronto Library Services (UTLS) and Pitney Canada. A Memorial Reception will be held at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Sunday, July 14 at 11 a.m. followed by Words of Remembrance at 12 p.m...
