It’s with both heavy hearts and great sadness that we share the passing our loving brother and uncle, George Grougios on September 29th at the age of 73 years.
George will be forever remembered and cherished by his family and countless friends. To know George was to be welcomed into his circle with open arms and an open heart. His kindness, humor, and warmth made him impossible not to love, and easy to miss now that he’s gone. Those who knew him will never forget his kind heart, his love for gaming, his love of music and the joy he found in spending time with family and friends.
George wasn’t just our uncle; he was everyone’s uncle. The one who showed up to every birthday, barbecue, and holiday, often the first to arrive. And the fYou could always count on George to bring laughter and good stories to any occasion. His stories could fill a room, and his ability to make everyone feel seen and special was one of his greatest gifts. George had a heart as big as his personality. He cared deeply for his family and friends. George had a way of turning ordinary moments into memories.
When he wasn’t making everyone laugh or finding out where the snacks were, you could usually find him gaming, controller in hand, fully immersed in another digital adventure. He also had a passion for music, often spending time in his home studio, revisiting the days when he played in a band.
George leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him close in their hearts, as well as an extended family of friends who adored him as one of their own. Though his absence leaves an empty space that can never be filled, his spirit will continue to live on in every story, every laugh, and every joyful moment we share in his memory.
We’ll miss you, Uncle George. Thank you for the laughter, the love, and the endless joy you brought into our lives. You made every moment brighter just by being in it.
