It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gail Elizabeth Herrington, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, and friend, who left us peacefully in her sleep on June 11, 2025, at the age of 68. Gail was born on April 27, 1957, in Toronto, Ontario, to her caring parents, Alvin and Doris Herrington.

Gail's journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to her family and community. After her education at Seneca College, she established herself as a passionate individual who believed in the power of giving back. Gail was not just a member of her community; she was a beacon of hope and kindness. She dedicated many hours as a member and volunteer at Sanctus Church in Ajax and lent her support at Ajax General Hospital, where her warm spirit touched the lives of many.

Gail's love for cooking and creating was evident to all who knew her. She found joy in the kitchen, crafting delicious meals that brought family and friends together. Her talent extended beyond the culinary arts; she also had a gift for sewing, making beautiful clothes that reflected her creativity and attention to detail. Each stitch was a labor of love, a testament to her caring nature.

Gail’s husband, Richard Pinto, also a member and volunteer at Sanctus Church, passed away in 2023. Gail leaves behind her family, including her beloved children, Meaghan Harvey and Jonathon Harvey, her parents Alvin and Doris, along with her brothers, Paul and David. Gail’s nurturing spirit and boundless love will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched.

A celebration of Gail's life will be held on July 19, 2025, at Sanctus Church in Ajax, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory. The service will commence at 1:00 PM, providing an opportunity for all whose lives she impacted to come together.

As we say goodbye to Gail, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service to others. May her soul rest in eternal tranquility, and may her memory be a blessing to us all.
