Fred Carr, 94 years of age, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed and was promoted to Glory January 25, 2026.
He was born in Toronto, Ontario to Walter Thomas Carr and Elizabeth Carr (nee Wild) from England. Fred’s life was a testament to love, laughter, dedication, commitment to family, and a lifelong soldier of The Salvation Army. His quiet demeaner, soft spoken words, humour, and laughter shone brightly throughout his life. Fred’s love for family, travel, nature, animals, hard work, and boundless generosity has passed down to every member of his family and is the benchmark that we all set and follow.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Eva Carr (nee Willliams) and his four children, Stanley (Debi nee Mundy), Don (Nancy Fontaine), Beth (Terry Gould), and Steven. He was predeceased by his siblings Bill, May, Roly, Daisy, Dot, Les, and Stan.
His grandchildren are Jaclyn Robinson (Richard Robinson), Natalie Coates (Tim Coates), Gary and Rebecca Carr (nee Babcock), Captains Ian and Brittany Carr (nee Houston), Adam Carr (Angela Seabert), Justin Carr (Melanie Huston), Britni Carr (Mike McLeod), Jesse Carr (Heather Bears), Nikita Gould, Dana Gould, Alexandre Regnier (Devany Ferguson),
William Regnier, David Regnier, and Sara Carr.
His great-grandchildren are McLean Robinson, Molly Robinson, Ryder Coates, Peyton Coates, Caleb Carr, David Carr, Layla Carr, Arthur Carr, Eli Carr, Naomi Carr, Caelan Carr, Aiden Carr, Cody Carr, Bennett Carr, and Madelyn Regnier.
Fred’s memory will live on through his family and friends, and all who knew him and whose lives he touched. He has enriched us all by his morals, values, unwavering kindness, and unconditional love. Always in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, Ontario, M1K1R1
