<div itemprop="description">FREDA HANNAH July 18, 1922 - January 19, 2016 It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother and grandmother Freda Hannah (nee Welt). Loving mother of Shirley and John (Barb) and proud grandmother of Laura (Dave) and Keith (Nicole). She is predeceased by her loving husband Orrie and brother Ernie. She is survived by her sister Esther. This modern and independent woman was a nurse, stewardess, preschool educator and world traveller. She is remembered fondly by family and friends for her tireless work with the developmentally handicapped and, in her later years, championing the rights of elder care in Ontario. Friends may call at Pine Hills Visitation Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, M1K 1R1, 416-267-8229, on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday 1:30-2:30 p.m. Service will be in the chapel at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2016.
