It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fong Phanthasomchit on April 29, 2026 at the age of 59.

He was born in Laos in 1966 and immigrated with his parents and 6 brothers and sisters to Canada; working various occupations such as an engineer, a photographer, and a supervisor at Magna until he finally decided to pursue his love for cooking and opened his own restaurant.

Fong touched the lives of many with his sense of humor, warmth, generosity, and ability to connect to just about anyone. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of his wife of 36 years, his two daughters and those who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family is extremely grateful for the support and kindness during this difficult time.
