Evangelos (Angelo) Petsinis (1938–2026)
Evangelos Petsinis, a man of profound strength, disciplined love, and musical soul, passed away on March 15, 2026. Born on August 15, 1938, Evangelos lived by a simple but powerful set of values: "Hard work never hurt anyone, and the rewards always outweigh the pain."
To his children—Paul, Nick, Toula, and John—Evangelos was a commander of character. They will forever remember being lined up like soldiers for a firm “prosohe anapose” when they needed a reminder of discipline. He was their greatest advisor, constantly urging them to save their money and pay down their mortgages, ensuring his family stood on the solid ground he worked so hard to build.
But Evangelos was more than just a disciplinarian; he was the voice of the family. As the Lead Vocalist of the Greek Vevi Orchestra band he shared with his sons, Nick and Paul, his voice brought life to countless celebrations. He was a man who refused to be left behind by time, always eager to tinker with new gadgets whether it be a new cell phone or computer, proving that a curious mind never grows old.
His greatest joy, however, was found at the local park. When his children were at work, "Papou" was on duty. He didn't just watch his grandchildren; he played alongside them, running across soccer fields and teaching them that the best way to live is to truly "try things."
He is survived by his beloved wife, Evdoxia, and his four children, 8 grandchildren and a great grandson. He leaves behind a legacy of financial wisdom, musical heritage, and the reminder that a life well-lived is earned through effort and celebrated with song.
