<div itemprop="description">Evalds Rudzitis, born in Valmiera, Latvia, passed away peacefully in his 94th year, on March 8, 2016, in Etobicoke, after a short illness. Pre-deceased a week earlier by his loving wife of 65 years, Emilija. Fondly remembered by daughter Sandra and son Peteris (Daria). He will be sadly missed by grandkids Genevieve Wall, Danny (Vanessa) and Natalie Stergiou and his great grandchildren Isabella and William Stergiou and family in Latvia. Evalds was a committed member of the St. Andrews Latvian Lutheran Church Choir for many years. Guests will be received at YORK VISITATION CENTRE, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, Ontario, M2N 5Z5 on Monday March 14, 2016 from 10 am to 11 am with a memorial service to follow. A private cremation will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Andrews Latvian Lutheran Church or Camp Sidrabene.<br /></div>
