It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Eva (Evdokia) Tentsos who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 97.

Eva was born on February 8, 1929, in Greece and immigrated with her husband and children to Toronto in 1963. Eva lived her life defined by kindness and love for her family and friends. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, sense of humour and ensuring that no one was ever left hungry.

Proud of her Greek heritage, Eva was a master in the kitchen. She was known for preparing delicious meals for holidays and family gatherings. Her legacy lives on in the treasured recipes and traditions she passed to her children and grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Chris (Jeanne) and Christine; her cherished grandchildren, Louis (Lailah), Zac and Michel (Lara); her great-grandson Zayn, as well as numerous relatives and friends. She will also be dearly missed by her friends and family in Greece as well as her friends and staff at the Meighen Retirement Residence.

Eva was predeceased by her loving husband, Elias and siblings Sophia, Xenofon and Dimitris.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough, ON) for a viewing on Wednesday, July 22nd from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 23rd at 11:00 AM with a visitation from 10:30-11am prior to the service, followed immediately by the interment at Pine Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army in memory of Eva Tentsos.
